Writer & Storyteller · Bardstown, Kentucky

My father named me Deborah — a Scotch-Irish name meaning sparkling and lively in strength. I'm a Georgia-born, Kentucky-rooted writer who believes a good story and a stubborn spirit can carry you through just about anything.

Before my fall, I was always the caretaker. Recovery flipped that script and taught me to walk in faith instead of fear, to be a better listener, and to let a whole village show up for me. Kindness, I confirmed, absolutely makes a difference.

I write friendly, positive, useful stories and tips worth sharing — from survival and resilience to family, food, and faith. And I do it all under the watchful eye of my Border Collie, Maggie, who believes life is good as long as there's a toy, a nap, and a person to love.
